Active Communities Network 

Since its establishment in 2007, Active Communities Network has sought to develop new ways of working to improve outcomes for young people and communities. ACN has offices in London, Belfast and Manchester, with a strong presence within the most socio – economically disadvantaged communities within these cities and wider areas. The charity also has an international presence, having delivered capacity building programmes for youth and community development organisations located on 5 different continents. 

S3 Solutions has been working with Active Communities Network since 2013, providing support during this time in relation to funding application and tender bid writing, project management and development, strategic planning and organisational development and impact measurement. S3 Solutions has supported the charity to secure over £6 million of investment for the delivery of youth work and capacity building in the form of both grant funding and contracted services.

Investment has been secured from major funders and government agencies, including:

• The Executive Office (NI Executive) 

• Department for the Economy 

• Department of Communities 

• National Lottery Community Fund
